Restorative

Deep relaxation of the body, mind and spirit, using props.

A style of yoga practice using props and postures held for longer periods of time to initiate deep relaxation of the body, mind and spirit. Restorative yoga is beneficial to balance a more active practice or decompress after a stressful day.

This restorative class grounds your energy by creating shifts in your breath to tune in to your physical body’s connection with the earth. Move slowly through Supine Savasana, Sphinx, Seal Pose, and Supine Twist to finish relaxed. This class previously aired on June 9, 2022.

Guide your mind to be completely present as you breathe into quiet yet active restorative poses. Start in the most simple expression, then safely deepen to sink in while using props for support. Postures include Child’s Pose variation, Standing Forward Bend, leg-focused stretches, and supported Bridge. This class was previously aired on May 26, 2022. Props Suggested: 1 bolster, 2 blankets, and 2 blocks.

Sink into relaxing, restorative supine and prone postures with the support of props and your breath. Guide yourself to receive the benefits of stillness, calming your mind, body, and spirit. This class was previously aired on April 20, 2022. Props Required: 2 pillows, bolsters, or cushions.

Give yourself time to slow down and sigh it out. Create support for just what you need as you sink into Child’s Pose, Sphinx, Wide-Angle Seated Forward Bend, and Babbling Brook. In celebration of International Women’s Day, this class was previously aired on March 8, 2022. Props Required: a mix of 1 bolster, 2 blankets, and 2 blocks.
