Ali Owens is an E-RYT 500, meditation teacher, dancer, world traveler, and mother. Driven by her passion for movement, Ali studied dance in the World Arts & Cultures program at UCLA, leading her to discover yoga. She signed up for a yoga course to unwind from the long days of training, but what she found was enthusiastic interest in the philosophy and spirituality of the practice. Upon graduation, she completed her first teacher training in Santa Monica and continued to study with some of the most celebrated teachers in the world. Ali is trained in Vinyasa, Hatha, Restorative/Yin, Subtle Body, Pre/Postnatal Yoga, Ayurveda, Meditation, and Yoga Nidra.

Once a simple way to wind down from a busy lifestyle, yoga has become the catalyst for Ali to live the life she always dreamed of. Her mission is to empower others to uncover their intuition and live in alignment with their hearts through movement and meditation. Ali has become well known for her innovative teaching style and ability to create a welcoming environment for all students to grow and thrive.

Ali has taught at some of the most reputable studios in Los Angeles and worked as a spokeswoman and ambassador with several leading yoga and fitness brands. Warm your body to peak with awareness and ease in Bird Of Paradise, working through variations to allow for a full expression of the posture. This challenging flow includes Extended Hand-To-Big-Toe Pose, Bound Triangle, Half Moon, Warrior II, and Bird Of Paradise. Though not intended to be a Prenatal practice, this class can be prenatal-friendly if you are a seasoned practitioner moving through pregnancy. Please note: Practicing yoga while pregnant is for those who have a low-risk pregnancy and have gotten the green light from a doctor or midwife to practice. This challenging yet accessible Prenatal practice moves steadily through a progressing sequence that builds on each move to strengthen your legs, open your hips, and build stability in your torso. Postures include Malasana, Skandasana, Half Moon, Wild Thing, and Pigeon Pose. Though recommended for those in their second trimester of pregnancy, you can take this class during any stage of pregnancy. Please note: Prenatal yoga is for those who have a low-risk pregnancy and have gotten the green light from a doctor or midwife to practice. This class previously aired on September 25, 2022.

Yoga

Level 1-2 45 mins

Release tension in your legs, shoulders, and lower body while moving slowly through restorative postures using props to enhance your comfort. Let your mind and body rest in Triangle, Janu Sirsasana, Reclined Hand-To-Big-Toe Pose, Wide-Legged Standing Forward Bend, and Skandasana. Though not intended to be a Prenatal practice, this class can be prenatal-friendly if you are a seasoned practitioner moving through pregnancy.
