Practicing regular backbends can help bring our spine back to neutral, stimulate natural energy, open our heart chakra, release tension, and improve our posture. This class is all about listening to your body to find your personal edge. Begin this 30-minute Hatha practice in Downward Dog. Then, prepare the body for movement with dynamic hip-flexor lunges and a quad stretch. Warm up the spine in Standing Side Bend before testing your balance in Crescent and Anjeneyasana Lunge Salutations with Cobra. Move through Warrior I and II and build toward your backbend with Camel, Bridge, Upward Bow, and an active rest before settling into your final Savasana.
