A 45 minute short class aimed at making our way into Eka Pada Rajakapotasana (one-footed king pigeon pose). Working our backbends in bhujangasana (cobra pose) and urdhva mukha svanasana (upward facing dog pose), we open the hips, hamstrings and thighs via lunge w/ knee down and hanumanasana. Dolphin pose helps us to open the upper back and chest, allowing for more space in the backbend and helping us to get into the full pose. Options with a strap are given. Balasana (child's pose), a light supine twist and paschimottanasana (forward fold) help us to make our way into savasana.
